GTi Award Certificate  in Aromatherapy

Date – this is an online course completed at your speed.

The cost is £95 (+VAT).

The art of aromatherapy involves the use of essential oils, in order to help improve both the physical and emotional well-being of a client, by treating the whole person.

The basis of aromatherapy is the use of essential oils, and their ability to be absorbed into the blood stream through the skin or respiratory system. These oils initiate chemical changes through their reactions with hormones and enzymes, affecting both body and mind.

This course will teach you everything you need to know in order to carry out a professional aromatherapy treatment using pre-blended oils. You must have a previous massage qualification in order to take the course.

The course is completed entirely online in your own time. This means that GTi gives you flexible learning designed to fit in around your lifestyle. Full tutorial support is available throughout your learning experience.

The GTi Aromatherapy course describes all the characteristics of the essential and carrier oils as well as describing how you can incorporate aromatherapy into your massage treatments.

The course also covers the history and theories behind the treatment as well as reception and consultation and how to recognise any contra-indications to treatment.

GTi Award Certificate  in Foot Reflexology

Date TBC. This course is full day 10:00am – 4:00pm.

The cost is £395 (inc VAT and course kit).

Reflexology is a gentle, non-invasive therapy that encourages the body to balance and heal itself. It involves applying finger or thumb pressure to specific points on the hands and feet. These points are called reflexes and they reflect, or mirror, the organs and structures of the body as well as a person’s emotional health. In this way, the hands and feet are mini maps or microcosms of the body that can be used to encourage holistic healing.

This course will teach you everything you need to know in order to carry out a professional reflexology treatment. The theory is completed online at home in your own time before a practical training session is taken at a location of your choice. This means that GTi gives you flexible learning designed to fit in around your lifestyle. Full tutorial support is available throughout your learning experience.

The GTi Foot Reflexology course covers all the necessary anatomy and physiology which you will need to know in order to perform a reflexology treatment and so you do not need to hold a separate anatomy and physiology qualification.

The course is fully accredited by the Guild of Beauty Therapists, the UK’s leading professional beauty trade body, for membership and insurance purposes. Upon completion of the course, students will receive a certificate for a GTi Award in Foot Reflexology.

GTi Award Certificate  in Ear Candling

Date TBC, half day 09:00am – 12:00pm.

The cost is £170 (inc VAT and course kit).

Clients who discover the benefits of an ear candle treatment will continue to keep coming back, bringing you a core of loyal, returning customers. The candles work using the process of convection. The burning of the candle helps to draw softer waxes and toxins from the ear. Some of these are then oxidised or turned into vapours and burnt. The warm air from the burning candle passes into the ear canal before being gently drawn back up to the top of the candle in a chimney effect. The warm air containing the herbal extract vapours from the candle helps to soothe and invigorate the ear.

The GTi Ear Candles course covers how to give a full ear candle treatment and covers the history, technique and aftercare of the treatment.

The course also covers reception and consultation, and contra-indications to treatment. It also includes detailed technique modules which show you how to carry out an ear candle treatment.

The course is fully accredited by the Guild of Beauty Therapists, the UK’s leading professional beauty trade body, for membership and insurance purposes. Upon completion of the course, students will receive a full-colour certificate for a GTi Award in Ear Candles.
